Malik was born and raised in Statesboro, Georgia, and now resides in Atlanta, GA. Malik is the middle child of three siblings. Malik has devoted his life to the profession of Criminal Justice, which his career began in 1997.

He has a passion for Criminal Justice and is committed to the core value of serving others. Malik has served as a Facility Police Sergeant, DHR/Brook Run PD, Dunwoody, GA 1997–1998, a Facility Police Corporal, GRN Recovery Center, Snellville, GA 1998-2000, A Deputy Sheriff Sergeant - Jail Division (DeKalb Sheriff).

Malik was later promoted as a Deputy Sheriff Lieutenant and served as the Assistant Commander on the Jail Emergency Service Team (Tactical) Unit, at the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. He had the honor to serve in the prestigious role of the Executive Protector and Administrative Aide to the 49th Sheriff of DeKalb County. (A position of which you are specifically and personally chosen by the Sheriff). Malik’s career began with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office in 2002, in which he retired in 2018.

He now works in the Public Safety, Corporate Security Division as the Area Manager for a Security Agency.

Malik is a graduate of Alonzo A. Crim High School located in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2007. Malik attended the Fulton County Public Safety Training Center; where he obtained his Basic Law Enforcement certification, as a Mandated Peace Officer for the State of Georgia. Malik earned his Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice/ Homeland Security and his Masters’s Degree in Criminal Justice Legal Studies at Saint Leo University.

Malik was inducted into the PI Gamma Mu International Honor Society, the Omega Nu Lambda Honors Society, and the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honors Society.

Malik is an outstanding and active citizen with a great commitment to community service, thus still serving as a DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Unit member and often volunteering for non-profit LGBTQI organizations and mentoring transgendered male-identified men. He is the Director of Faith Initiatives for the I Am Human Foundation.

Malik believes, “It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving.” He has dedicated his life to God and is committed to being a soldier in the army of the Lord. He is a faithful member of Rehobeth Fellowship of Atlanta, under the leadership of Bishop-Elect Troy Sanders, where he serves on the pastoral care team and is a minister in training.

Malik is also the founder and father of the Ever popular House of Santiago, est 2003.

His pronouns are (He, Him, and Sir) and he identifies as a Transgendered Male. He Is a living Icon in the community and a legend in the pageantry world, where he has won the titles of Mr. Essence of Beauty (Jackson, MS.), Mr. Savannah Players Ball (Savannah, GA.), Mr. Esquire (Nashville, TN.), Mr. Studd Continental (Atlanta, GA.), Mr. Towers II Entertainer of The Year (Atlanta, GA.), Mr. Phase I Entertainer of the year (Atlanta, GA.), Mr. Atlanta King (Atlanta, GA.), Mr. Black Renaissance (Atlanta, GA.), Mr. Sweetheart International (Jacksonville, FL.) and Mr. South Florida International (Orlando, FL).

Malik enjoys mentoring and helping others and lives by the quote, “ The measure of a man’s Greatness is not the number of servants he has, but the number of people he serves.”
